MSL Throttle-Able Descent Engine Hot Fire Test

The MSL Focused Technology program has successfully completed the Hot Fire Test campaign for the MSL throttle-able descent engine development unit #1 on September 15, 2004. The JPL-led propulsion team is comprised of Aerojet-Redmond (engine), Aerojet-Sacramento (test facility), Moog Inc. (throttle valve), and JPL-Thermal and Propulsion Engineering Section.
